The extra bucks over 55-200mm are perfectly justified as this lens is more use-able at higher focal lengths comparatively.
I had few shots of moon at full zoom and VRII made those shots realistically possible.
Clarity and image sharpness is trademark Nikon quality.
Body and material of the lens is quite decent.
Will recommend!
