This review is from: Kenko 2.0X PRO 300 Teleconverter DGX for NIKON AF Digital SLRs (Electronics) I'm very happy with the Kenko 1.4X, but not so much with this one. It seems to like my Nikkor 80-200mm F/2.8 better than my 300mm F/4, but with both lenses images are soft. If you know what you are buying (a teleconverter to use when you are desperate not to miss a shot), this is handy to have. However, I rarely find myself using it. This review is from: Kenko 2.0X PRO 300 Teleconverter DGX for NIKON AF Digital SLRs (Electronics) I got and compared this with the Nikon 2.0xIII teleconverter and optically I found them to be pretty comparable. I think either used correctly would render good results. The part I had trouble with was that lens connection wasn't as snug as with Nikon branded TCs or lenses and with a longer lens, like the 70-200 f/2.8 VR, or the 300mm f/4, there was some play in the connection, so that AF was intermittent. In the end I returned it, as I needed the AF to be reliable every time - not intermittent as I experienced. YMMV.
