One of the best lenses I have used, and I have used a lot.
Pros:
Sharp at all apertures and focal lengths across the entire frame. No problem out-resolving the D7000. Worst is at 150 mm in the corners where it is still at a very good to excellent level.
Distortion is well controlled, CA is well controlled, the lens is just amazing.
Image stabilization is highly effective, but it is louder than what I am used to with Nikon lenses giving a clunk when it engages/disengages.
This is finally the pro level lens that DX shooters have been wanting.
Autofocus is fast and accurate. End-to-end time is a bit long (about 1 second) but small adjustments are very rapid. The lens has a long way to go end-to-end with no focus limiter.
Cons:
The only con I have is the lens is very large and heavy (1445 g with hood, front cap, and tripod foot, about 250 g less for just the lens), however the performance is... Read more

I am really loving this lens. It is crazy sharp even wide open. Got it with a D7000 and shot a wedding for my Brother-in-law last weekend.
It is noticeably sharper than my nikon 50mm 1.4G at 2.8 (which is why I am selling that now)
Autofocus was great, the reception hall was really dark with just some accent lights and string lights on the ceiling.
The only down fall is that it is a bit heavy. I'm 6'4 210lbs and in decent shape. By the end of the night shooting with only this lens, my wrists were getting a little uncomfortable.
