I couldn't find reviews on it anywhere, but I did find a few pictures people took, and they looked O.K. I thought that with a little bit of patience and skill I would be able to take some great shots. The pictures that had me convinced can be found here: [...]
I was wrong. I went to the beach to take some surf photos. While I was able to take pictures of surfers far away, the detail in their faces and wet suits was lacking. In fact, although my 200mm didn't have the kind of reach the 500mm had, I got more detail with my 200mm lens than with the Rokinon 500mm. This lens was a real disappointment (at least for me).
